Sanjay Maharajh is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the A1 Group. He established the business in 2010, initially operating as a debt collection call centre. Under his visionary leadership, the company has grown into a dynamic Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) enterprise, serving both national and international clients.

With over 20 years of experience in corporate finance and banking, Sanjay has held several senior management and executive positions across the industry. He brings a wealth of expertise and strategic insight to the A1 Group.

Conrad Haack is a seasoned professional with over 20 years experience in management, particularly in call centres, sales and operations. His career spans various industries, showcasing his adaptability and broad skill set. He currently focuses on revenue generation through multiple channels, combined with customer retentions and developing new business opportunities and compliance processes.

Since joining the company in 2021 from Ernest and Young South Africa (EY), Sharneel has played a key role in driving operational efficiency, compliance, and service excellence. Backed by a BCom in Economics and a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance and Investment Management, he brings both diverse skills and practical depth to the role. Sharneel also leads the use of data and analytics to improve client outcomes and support strategic decision-making.

Marcel brings over a decade of expertise to his role as Head of IT Strategy and Innovation, blending business acumen with technological insight. Since joining the company, he has led the IT team with a focus on optimizing systems and supporting strategic growth. His sales background offers a unique, business-driven perspective on technology. Marcel is committed to aligning IT infrastructure with company goals to drive efficiency, innovation, and long-term value.

Andrew has excess 20 years in training and facilitation, He is passionate about developing people and creating superstars through impactful programs. He is experienced across inbound, outbound, QA, team leadership, and training with a 360° view of call center operations. Andrew brings practical insight to every solution. His focus on real growth, lasting performance, and unlocking team potential.

Ashura heads Customer Satisfaction and Quality Assurance. She joined the group in 2018 quickly establishing a reputation for dedication and excellence. She is experienced across operations, building a strong understanding of the business and industry. Ashura plays a key role in upholding service standards and driving continuous improvement. Her cross-functional knowledge makes her an asset in ensuring quality, consistency, and operational effectiveness.

Zeralda has over 20 years of experience in the industry. She brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to her role. As a seasoned Manager, she has successfully led both new business initiatives and established campaigns. Her expertise in financial products, advanced sales strategies and customer service equips her to consistently drive high performance and exceed client’s expectation. Zeralda is also known for her strength in team leadership, mentoring, and clear, impactful communication.

Carl is a seasoned industry services professional with a solid background in IT and general management, bringing over 10 years of experience across sales, customer service, and project leadership. Known for driving performance, leading high-performing teams, and ensuring compliance within fast-paced, high-volume environments.

Mohammed Shafi Sonday is an experienced Finance Manager known for his precision, integrity, and focus on financial efficiency. With a background in Financial Accounting, he excels in overseeing operations, ensuring tax compliance, and crafting strategies that support business growth. His expertise in streamlining financial processes makes him a reliable asset in any organization’s financial management efforts.
