Sanjay Maharajh is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the A1 Group. He established the business in 2010, initially operating as a debt collection call centre. Under his visionary leadership, the company has grown into a dynamic Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) enterprise, serving both national and international clients.
With over 20 years of experience in corporate finance and banking, Sanjay has held several senior management and executive positions across the industry. He brings a wealth of expertise and strategic insight to the A1 Group.

Sharneel Maharajh Operating Officer
Since joining the company in 2021 from Ernest and Young South Africa (EY), Sharneel has played a key role in driving operational efficiency, compliance, and service excellence. Backed by a BCom in Economics and a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance and Investment Management, he brings both diverse skills and practical depth to the role. Sharneel also leads the use of data and analytics to improve client outcomes and support strategic decision-making.
